Instagram Post Scheduler: Plan Posts and Reels, Publish Automatically

An Instagram post scheduler lets you prepare a post's image or video, caption and hashtags in advance and set the date and time it goes live; in Duyuro, a scheduled post publishes itself at that time on your business account, connected through Meta's official publishing permission.

How does Instagram post scheduling work in Duyuro?

First you connect your Instagram business account through Meta's login screen. Then you add the image or video, caption and hashtags and save the post as a draft. When you open the draft and pick a future date and time, it is scheduled. Duyuro checks for due posts every five minutes and publishes them to your account.

  1. Connect the account

In Meta's own login window, select the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram business or creator account. Duyuro never sees your password.

  2. Prepare the post

Add an image or video and write the caption, or let the AI write it. The editor counts characters against Instagram's 2,200-character caption limit.

  3. Save as draft

Every new post is saved as a draft first and is not published right away. You can edit the text, swap the image or delete the post.

  4. Pick a date and time

Choose a date and time that is not in the past. The timezone is saved with the post, so you can plan for New York, London or Dubai from anywhere.

  5. Track publishing

Filter the post list by platform and status: draft, scheduled, published or failed. Scheduled posts also appear in the content calendar.

Is auto posting to Instagram safe, and do I need to share my password?

You do not share your password. Duyuro does not log in to Instagram like a bot; it uses Meta's official content publishing permission. You approve the connection on Meta's screen and Duyuro publishes only with the access you granted. That is much safer for your account than auto-posting apps that ask for your login.

Revoking accessYou have to change your passwordRemove the connection in Meta settings or in Duyuro

Meta's access lasts about 60 days. When it expires, Duyuro asks you to reconnect the account; scheduled posts cannot publish until you do.

Which Instagram accounts can you schedule posts for?

Instagram's official publishing permission is only open to professional accounts. Your account must be a business or creator account linked to a Facebook Page. Personal accounts cannot be scheduled. You can switch the account type in Instagram settings in a few minutes, link it to your Facebook Page and then connect it to Duyuro.

  • Instagram account: business or creator (professional account).
  • A Facebook Page linked to that account.
  • Someone with admin access to the Facebook Page approves the connection.
  • One Instagram account per brand; teams handling several brands connect each one separately.

Which post types can you schedule?

Duyuro publishes three Instagram formats today: single-image posts, carousels of 2 to 10 images, and Reels. Add a video and it goes out as a Reel; add several images and it goes out as a carousel. Instagram does not accept text without media, so every post needs an image or video. Stories are not supported yet.

What is the difference between publishing now and scheduling?

You can push a finished draft live with Publish now after a confirmation step, or schedule it for later. A scheduled post goes out at the first check after the time you picked, so within a few minutes. If publishing fails, the post moves to the failed status, and you check the reason and publish it again.

  • Publish now: after the confirmation dialog the post goes straight to your account. This cannot be undone.
  • Schedule: date, time and timezone are saved; you can edit or delete the post until it goes out.
  • Failed: if the connection expired or media is missing, the post shows as failed with the error so you can retry.

Which other platforms can you schedule posts for?

The same editor prepares and schedules LinkedIn and X posts. Each post is created for one platform, so the text length, hashtag count and image ratio match it. On YouTube you publish videos rather than posts: generated videos can upload to your channel automatically, and video generation can repeat daily, weekly or monthly.

Is the Instagram post scheduler free to use?

Connecting accounts, scheduling and publishing spend no credits. Credits are used only for AI generation: a post image is 9 credits and post copy 3 credits. Verified new accounts get 200 trial credits valid for 30 days, and no card is needed to open the account. After that, one-off credit packs start at $24.

How do agencies and teams share scheduling?

In Duyuro, brands and team members sit under one organization. Owners and admins see every brand, editors prepare posts and connect accounts, and viewers can only look and cannot spend credits. Posts and connections are kept per brand. The default limit is one brand and three members; talk to us if you need more.

Frequently asked questions

What is the safest app to auto post to Instagram?

Pick an app that uses Meta's official content publishing permission. Bots that ask for your password can break Instagram's rules and put your account at risk. Duyuro works with the approval you give on Meta's login screen, never sees your password and publishes at the time you choose.

Can I schedule posts on a personal Instagram account?

No. Instagram's publishing permission is only open to business and creator accounts linked to a Facebook Page. You can switch to a professional account in Instagram settings at no cost, link it to your Facebook Page and connect it to Duyuro. The switch does not affect your existing posts or followers.

Will the post go out at the exact minute I picked?

Duyuro checks for due posts every five minutes, so a post goes out at the first check after your chosen time, within a few minutes. For launches where the minute matters, schedule a few minutes early. You can follow the status in the post list.

Can I schedule carousels and Stories?

Carousels yes: pick 2 to 10 images and Duyuro publishes them as one carousel at the planned time. Stories are not supported yet, so post them from the Instagram app for now.

What happens if a scheduled post fails?

The post moves to the failed status and shows the reason. The most common cause is Meta's connection expiring after about 60 days. Reconnect the account and publish the post again. Duyuro does not retry failed posts on its own, so you stay in control.
