Social Media Management Pricing in 2026: Freelancer, Agency, In-House and Tools in the US, UK and UAE

Social media management pricing is what a business pays a freelancer, an agency, an employee or a software tool to plan, create, publish and report on its social media; in 2026, published rate guides put freelancer and small-to-mid agency fees at roughly $400-5,000 a month in the US, £250-5,000 in the UK and AED 1,000-15,000 in the UAE.

How much does social media management cost in 2026?

Published 2026 rate guides put a freelancer at roughly $400-2,500 a month in the US, £250-2,000 in the UK and AED 1,000-5,000 in the UAE. Agency retainers usually start around $500-2,000, £800-1,500 and AED 2,500. Ad spend is never included, and sources disagree, so treat every figure as a range.

The two agency sources disagree mostly at the bottom of the range. Mysocial's starter tier begins at $500, which matches a posting-only package from a small shop; Bravery Technology's boutique tier starts at $2,000 and assumes content creation and reporting are included. When you compare quotes, compare the number of posts, videos and platforms, not the package name.

What does social media management cost in the UK?

UK guides put freelancers at about £15-60 an hour, or £250-2,000 a month depending on experience. Small agencies charge roughly £800-4,000 a month and mid-size agencies £2,000-7,000. Specialist and large agencies go above £10,000. Indeed reports an average social media manager salary of £34,515 a year in the UK.

Bravery Technology's figures sit consistently above Whito's, and Bravery notes that London and the South East price at the higher end. Its FAQ gives a UK salary range of £28,000-45,000 a year, or £40,000-60,000 including employer costs, which brackets the Indeed average. Whito's page shows several update dates and does not state its sample size, so read both as directional.

What does social media management cost in the UAE?

In the UAE, agency pages put social media management at about AED 2,500-5,000 a month for entry packages, AED 6,000-15,000 for growth packages with video and ads, and AED 16,000-45,000+ for enterprise work. Freelancers are quoted at AED 1,000-5,000 a month. In-house salary figures differ sharply between sources.

The in-house numbers do not agree. Indeed's average comes from job postings and sits well below Digital Gravity's AED 6,000-30,000+ range, which is a per-person cost estimate that includes senior roles. If you plan to hire, check current postings for the seniority you need and add visa and insurance costs on top of salary.

Growth packages in the Gulf often include bilingual English and Arabic copy, short-form video shoots and ad account management. Ask for each of these as a separate line, because they are the items that move a quote from the entry tier to the growth tier.

How much do social media management tools cost?

Scheduling tools are much cheaper than people but do not create the content for you. On their public pricing pages, Buffer starts at $5 per channel a month, Later at $18.75 a month billed yearly, Hootsuite at $99 per user and Sprout Social at $79 per seat on annual billing. Higher tiers add users, accounts and reporting.

A tool only replaces the publishing part of the job. Someone still has to write captions, make visuals and reply to comments, which is why most small businesses end up paying for a tool plus either their own time or outside help. AI tools change that split by drafting captions, images and videos that a person then reviews.

What drives the price of social media management?

Price is driven by the number of platforms, the number of posts and videos per month, whether video is shot or only edited, whether paid ads are managed, who answers comments and messages, how much reporting is included and, in the Gulf, whether copy is bilingual. Location and agency size move the price as well.

  • Platforms: one or two platforms are the norm in entry packages; each extra platform adds work and cost.
  • Volume: eight posts a month and a post every day are very different jobs, even under the same package name.
  • Video: short-form video with filming days costs far more than designed images.
  • Paid ads: ad management is usually a separate fee, and the ad budget itself is always paid on top.
  • Community management: replying to comments and DMs every day is a recurring time cost.
  • Language: English and Arabic versions of every post add copywriting and design time.
  • Location and seniority: London agencies and senior specialists sit at the top of the published ranges.

How do you estimate your cost with Duyuro?

Count what you need to produce each month, convert it to credits and pick the pack that covers it. A post image is 9 credits, dubbing 90 per minute and a five-scene 1080p product video 840. Packs are one-off: Starter $24 for 1,000 credits, Growth $66 for 3,000, Agency $199 for 10,000.

  1. Count your monthly output

    For example, 12 post images and one product video a month is 12 x 9 + 840 = 948 credits.

  2. Pick a credit pack

Credits are valid for 12 months, so a pack can cover busy months and quiet months alike. Failed generations are refunded in full.

  3. Add assistants only if you need them

AI assistants are billed monthly per assistant, from $3 a month: comment replies $4, YouTube trends $3, Instagram trends $4, Google Trends $3.

  4. Start before you pay

The account is self-serve with no card. After you verify your email you get 200 trial credits valid for 30 days. Publishing, scheduling and basic analytics spend no credits.

Duyuro is an AI-powered social media management program for SMBs and agencies: it generates posts, visuals and ad videos, and plans and publishes them on Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and X. It does not replace a strategist or a film crew; it replaces most of the routine production and scheduling work. Larger teams that need their own infrastructure can ask for an on-premise quote.

What should you ask before accepting a quote?

Ask how many posts, Stories and videos are included each month, which platforms are covered, whether ad management and ad spend are separate, who replies to comments and messages, whether filming is included, whether VAT is included, how long the minimum term is and who owns the accounts, files and ad account when the contract ends.

  1. How many posts, Stories, Reels or videos are published each month?
  2. Which platforms are included, and which cost extra?
  3. Is ad management included, and is the ad budget paid separately?
  4. Who answers comments and messages, and during which hours?
  5. Are filming days included, and how many hours?
  6. Is VAT included in the price?
  7. What is the minimum term, and what happens if you cancel early?
  8. Who owns the accounts, the design files and the ad account at the end?

Frequently asked questions

How much should a small business budget for social media management?

Based on the guides above, a small business hiring outside help should expect roughly $400-2,500 a month in the US, £250-2,000 in the UK and AED 1,000-5,000 in the UAE for a freelancer, and more for an agency. Add your ad budget on top. Doing it yourself with a tool costs far less money but more of your time.

Is a freelancer or an agency cheaper?

A freelancer is usually cheaper per month: every guide we checked puts freelancer retainers below agency retainers in all three markets. An agency adds a team, which helps with video production, ads and cover during holidays. Compare the monthly output and the services included, not just the headline price.

Why do the price ranges from different sources disagree?

Each guide defines its tiers differently: one counts a posting-only package as entry level, another assumes content creation and reporting are included. Location matters too, with London and Dubai at the top of their markets. That is why this guide shows both sources side by side instead of a single average.

Does social media management include the ad budget?

No. The ranges in this guide are management fees. Ad spend is paid to the platform on top, and ad management is often a separate line in the quote. If a package says ads are included, ask in writing how much of the fee actually goes to the platform as ad spend.

Are Duyuro credit packs a monthly subscription?

No. Credit packs are one-off purchases valid for 12 months: Starter $24 for 1,000 credits, Growth $66 for 3,000 and Agency $199 for 10,000. Only the optional AI assistants are billed monthly, from $3 per assistant. Publishing, scheduling and basic analytics do not use credits.
